Today seems to be full of people who just want to annoy me. I’ve just read this story over at BBC News about an Iranian cleric who has said, and I quote:

“Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes,”

Where is the evidence for that? Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi told worshippers this last Friday in Tehran and that they must to stick to strict codes of modesty to protect themselves.

I’m not hugely religious myself but this is total and utter rubbish is it not?

“What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble? There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam’s moral codes,”

According to seismologists, the Iranian capital Tehran is situated on a large number of tectonic fault lines which means a devastating quake could hit anytime soon. I guess they just want to cover themselves in the case of every eventuality. I guess the Ash Cloud was caused because too many people cheat on their partners or the 9/11 attacks were because we watch too much TV?
